REALLY ! you paid £60 To get your rear quarter painted and it looked that good ! ? chips away charge more than that and i wouldnt let em paint my fence LOL
He probably just doesnt have a very good eye for paint if he thought it looked decent at that money.
Our RB has had a bit of paint at the back, Id not noticed it at all, where as James Ashton literally spotted it from 20 foot away.
Some people are good at spotting paint, others of us arent.
Yeah James has a real eye for it, as you would expect from someone who used to detail million pound vintage and exotics cars etc, where as I can just about spot that there is something not quite right with the paint on a harlequin polo and thats about as far as my paint evaluation skills go.
I like to keep this handy, for close encounters

Just got another quote from a more profesional bodyshop and they are saying its going to be at the very least £600 but its likely to be closer to 700. Thats 12 hours painting and 2 hours stripping and rebuilding.

Just goes to show that decent people dont always end up with decent kids.
Why not have a word with him and say she can avoid court by paying £700 for the damage and £100 for the hassle?

If you are getting her out of a criminal conviction she at least needs to be noshing you off surely?
You can drop the charges when ever but if you going to ask her to pay up, it's worth doing it in writing and going through the police as well.
You could ask them to have a word to say you'd be willing to drop the charges if she payed in full for all repairs to be carried out.
Might scare her in to it.

Double check but I'm 99% sure that in Scotland you can't 'drop' the charges like you can in England and Wales, its up to the PF.

I suggest, as an alternative that the mental ones are the best (for reasons I don't think I need to explain) and you should try to win her back.
On a more serious note, if there's no major panel damage from how hard they must have pushed to damage it like that with a key (!) £600 max as a private customer and that's top end of the market for my area.
IIRC ultra red is a solid so you can edge to edge it with a good match, no need to blend or anything, just a quick key, some stopper and a little flatting and paint. The decal might cost a bit but it shouldn't take the total over £600.

This, you can write to the PF to have it dropped, but if the PF thinks its in the public interest to proceed then they will.

I got the actual quote through from the garage i went to yesterday and its coming out at a total of £730.03. Thats for the whole side of the car to be done.
I'd find the nearest brick and window it.

Liam why are you even considering dropping charges if the repairs are paid for? (You can't anyway in Scotland as said and is there Something your failing to mention about the break up lol, feeling guilty?)
Let the little b**ch stew for a few months awaiting her slap on the wrist from the courts and do as said and bring invoices or quotes for the repair to court with you! Make sure she knows the top end price to do the repair so she sleeps well for a few weeks too.
Also to me that looks dented, is the front winged not buckled?

Ive honestly got nothing to feel guilty about. ill tell anyone who asks the truth.
I finished with my mrs because i wasnt happy for a good few months, made an effort and things didnt work. Didnt see the point in carrying on wasting both of ours time.
Im trying to move on but she cant seem to let me go. I understand she must be hurt but theres ways to go about things and shes going about everything the completely wrong way!

Aye its a result. Going to get another quote from a very anal insurance repairs man tomorrow.
I went to see him earlier and he wouldnt even look at the car in the dark, he said if i can see the cars been damaged or had work done then they havent done their job properly and the car wont leave till its perfect basically. So hopefully hes able to do it asap!
