Somebody crashed into me, coming around a blind corner down the wrong way on a one way street. So annoyed!
My car was a 2001 Ph2 172. I was able to drive the car home but It had damaged drivers side bumper and wing, the drivers side impact airbag went off (from inside the seat) and it was obvious that the drivers side wheel had been pushed back into the arch. Mustve been some chassis damage there then.

Well Ive just got an offer from my insurance and theyve offered me £3500. What you guys think? Good offer? I think its not bad considering that it was due iys 72k service and needing both belts changed!

Good offer I would say. You'll easily be able to replace it with a lower mileage one for that money.

It's worrying that you've left an 8 year old car until 72k to get the belts changed though!

great offer that mate, ive got a immaculate 2002 ph2 172 for sale on piston heads at moment 47k full dealer history, both belts just been done last month,recently serviced, absolutely spotless throughout take a look at the advert its silver and up for £3795 ono i would paste the link into this thread but not sure how to lol title on the advert is clio 172 very clean example 47k Regards MATT

Even though it's a good offer I'd still try and hold out for a little more, remember your excess will be deducted from the amount they offer as well.

Yeah good idea ben lol nah joking aside mate it really is in spot on condition definately worth a look at the advert, im preety confident that its one of the straightest 2002 examples around when it comes to cars im very fussy some would say obsessed lol probably due to owning show condition series 1 rs turbos etc, sad i know but its just what i enjoy doing:rasp:

Well I hadnt owned it too long and it was booked in for its 72k service and belts so maybe Ive been lucky and saved myself some cash. As far as I know, the women who crashed into me never got in any trouble.....

But I think its a fairly decent offer all things considered. It wasnt in A1 condition or anything. Its just annoying because you know what its like, regardless of what condition it was in, it was mine and now its gone
