Race of the day, Exige started from the back of the grid and caught the pole-sitting Cosworth, then they were glued together for about 6 laps before the Exige finally passed...

Later in the day I spent about half-hour shooting between 1/15 and 1/50, of 100 pics I had about 2 or 3 keepers! Should have realised that handheld + 420mm + strong winds + very cold hands = no chance!

lol i know what u mean. love the seat pic. Just one question, i found that when i use shutter priority and go for anything under 1/50th i have to set the exposure to about -2 and the camera selects f32. Is this right?

Sounds about right, really slow shutter speeds such as that will gather far too much light during the day, so it compensates as much as it can by choosing the narrowest aperture possible.

The only reason I dislike shooting at silly slow speeds is that all the crap on my sensor becomes very visible in my pics!

The Exige/Cossie battle was better than anything I've seen in F1 during the whole of last season. You literally couldn't seperate them by a matter of inches for a good 5 or 6 laps, through back-markers and everything. The Exige is quicker but the Cossie drove superbly to hold it off for so long.

i was there,fab day,that escort/exige battle was fantastic,couldnt tell where the escort ended and where the exige began lol

the E30 bm's were great to watch,bless em they couldnt keep them in a straight line lol,simon norris was out was thr first time iv seen his new race evo,jesus they are fast in a straight line

The Exige/Cossie Battle was Superb.

apparently, this car is a 1.8 Xe engine chucking out 280hp!!! Proper quick...

Was a wicked day, but I couldn't walk to the car afterwards as my shins and ankles were sooo sore through pain and cold!!!

Saw your sticker on the back of the pug too Rich. Had a scout round for you too but couldn't see you.

Kifty was proper chuffed with his day!!!

Sorted for the second race though. Was the first time i've been to a day like that (well, in the last 10 years) but was such a good day, i'm going to try and make them all this season. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Was some good racing, the Cossie and Exige battle was great to watch.
