CAT Heat shield

Morning all

Whilst down the garage last week i noticed that the cat heat shield on the top had become detached from the front and sides of the cat, only the back was still attached. Now at low speeds i can hear the shield flapping up and down, and at high speeds it gets even worse. I was thinking of getting it welded, but the heat shield only seems to be made of a thin tin or something similar. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try, i dont really wanna buy a new cat.

cable tie it to somethin out of the way..........jus not the exhaust hehe

um, how about fix the bolts that hold it on!

The heat shield looks to have cracked all the way around the rim (on the top half of the cat) so the bolts dont effect it :-(

Oh and BRUN, cable ties will just melt on a cat

huh, the heatshield is bolted to the bottom of the car, and you can see the gear lever above it.....

are you jsut talking about the cat?

yeah the cat, im not on about the other heat shield I mean the heatshield that makes up the outside of the cat. Its got loads of little wholes in?!? (just like the bottom of the cat)
