cd changer port

i have a tunerlist radio and how do you activate the cd changer port, what i want to do is use this port to input an ipod. my other half has a blaupunkt radio with the same plug and you can buy this plug with just a pair of aux in leads, tried it in mine but it will not activate the cd changer (ie when you press source it just scrolls between radio and cd not including the cd changer or aux in)

You need to buy a Dension i-pod link or alike to do that on your stereo

i don't want to buy a dension kit because they lock the ipod and also don't want to spend 150 quid. there must be a way of utilising this connector but obviously needs a voltage feeding back into the head unit to switch the aux or cd changer port on. just need to find some one with a changer unit to work out the wiring, i already know which are the line in left, right and neutral which is shared between left and right, i know which connections give out 12volts on the head unit and 1 connection only gives 0.75volts out on the head unit, and this is probably the feed used to switch the head unit into aux mode but its just where this feeds back to, then its a simple plug to charge and listen to your ipod for about 30 quid

Must be a way of doing it I'm sure then - most Tuner/update list head unit owners on here have done the Dension route.

exactly just need some one with either a cd changer or any ipod unit and a volt meter to know what they're doing and check the voltages because i'll almost garuntee that the 0.75 put out by the head unit is returned and used as a switch to activate the aux operation.
