Changing a xenon bulb

evening all

quick question - when checning a 172 xenon bulb, so i need to do something to the bulb so i dont get a shock?

read a post somewhere and i cant find it now...

You're meant to remove the battery terminals for 1 hour prior to changing the bulb.
However, in a busy garage this is something ive never done, i just get on and change them.

ok cool - might try removing it while i work on bumper etc....

just undo the clip and pull it out or if you have the hella ignitor turn it just dont touch the glass part of bulb its safe to change bulbs so dont panic.

Nah i dont disconnect battery or.nothing. 5 min job 4 me small hands!

I changed the bulb on my 182 yesterday. It took about 30 mins to do. LOL. @.

I could charge people to do it im that quick. Most have to remove the bumper!

I was going to remove the bumper just to have a good look

plus I think passenger side has come off the adjuster......
