Changing bumper to a MK2 172

  GOLF GT TDI
i got a mk2 phase1 clio (2000 model) and i am thinking of changing the bumper for a mk2 172 what is needed to do this is it just a simple swop or do i need all new inner arches as well

Thanks
Stu

Simple swop.

One or two bolts don't match underneither from what I remember just drill in the plastic.

you have to take off the old bumper, bumper reinforcing plastic, arch liners.

then once you have the new 172 ph2 bumper you need to drill three new pilot holes through the plastic at the top in the middle, you also ideally need some arch liners that fit that bumper.
but make sure you realise the bumper wont be anywere near as secure as the standard.

Bumper is fine Stu. Yeah 2 bottom bolts don't line up. But you have the 2 just under the boot lid (I had to drill holes in the bumper for these to line up, but some do line up fine) then 2 bolts holding it to the rear wings.
