Changing coolant

Hi

Does anyone know where the coolant drain is located on the engine block?

If anyone has ant info, links or pics it would me most appreciated.

don't know, but you can flush the block by removing the thermostat

Thanks, I know that but I'd rather take the coolant plug out.

just had a quick look in this (p110 onwards), and there's no mention of a block drain

find the lowest coolant pipe you can and take it off, simples.

There is a drain screw on the thermostat housing.

There is a 10mm bolt on the thermostat housing, you cant miss it. Its essential this is open when pouring in new coolant, close it up when coolant runs out freely with no air.

isn't that the bleed screw? you'd have to reverse flush through it, and you'd be there forever

Yep as suggested lower rad pipe, and yes use the bleed screw wehen refilling!
