changing drivers airbag

Hi, ive bought a new airbag horn unit thingy becuase my old 1 is ripped how do i get it off and can i just change it without light etc staying on?? It looks like a just pull it off and plug the new 1 back in? do i have to disconnect the battery or anything??

Disconnect the battery negative terminal, leave for 20-30 mins then swap the bags over and re connect the battery.
Should be straightforward, if not and the light should come on, you will need to have it re-set.

Has the airbag gone off?

I take it not if so then disconnect the battery then leave it 10 minutes. Remove the top and bottom panels round the back of the wheel and find the two little clips on either side of the back of the wheel there the little clip undo them and the airbag unit comes off.

Nope. Not unless there a proble or you've not connected it right etc.

sweeeeeeet thank you guys for the help!!! Edde the reason im changing it is becuase i left my gf in the car for about 20 mins and came back to a massive rip in the leather stuff which makes it look soo taky now her excuse was "oh i only leant on it to see if it was the horn"
