Changing fuel sender unit

Going to be changing the fuel sender unit on my 182 on Tuesday, I've got a new ring and seal cause I expect the old one to crack trying to take it off but just wondered if there was anything specifically to watch out for (other that not lighting up whilst I do it)?

easy to get off, can be a real pain in the arse to get the threads started when putting back, also make sure the o-ring stays in place otherwise she will obviously leak...
