changing gear knob

bought me self a nice momo one with reverse lift. What i want to know is how it fit it properly?

Ive pulled of just the rubber part of the gear knob but does the plastic bit underneath simply twist or pull off or does it need to be cut off?

I think you need to cut it off mate.

If you dont want to cut then use a pair of mole grips or similar, work it left and right till its loose and itll pull off.

NB youll have loads of white powder coming out of it as you loosen it off so Id put a bit of sheet/rag over the console so you dont have to vac it up.

I couldnt get the plastic bit off mine, ended hack sawing the bastid off! No way was it budging, even had 2 blokes trying with the mole grips too..
