changing spark plugs

Hi i wanna change the plugs on my valver , just wondering if i can buy the plug socket from halfords? (one that actually reaches the plugs ) and what size is this socket , and any other tips u helpful people wanna give me....before i go attempting this,i know its not a big job but ive never done it on a valver before ! And i wanna buy the right socket so i dont look a fool when i go to halfords..

i bought some 4 point NGK ones which r pretty good

u can buy a tool for takin out plugs in halfords jus ask em wot size!

they normally av a booklet next to the plugs sayin wot ones u need ne way!

well i been to halfords and the spark plug tool they gave me will not fit down to unscrew the plugs , its too thick to get to the plugs

you need to get the 10mm spark plug socket. Not the big fat one.

Bosch super 4s are cack, unless of course you chop off 3 of the earth electrodes.

Run NGKs.

i got some ngk plugs and they guy at halfords said i needed the 14mm socket , will a 10mm socket still do the job with these plugs then ?

erm, im hoping the plastic cover has been taken off! hahaha........cant see why even the 14mil wont fit in that cavern.

NGK are all i run.

Super 4s, talk about a crap plug!

well ive tried with 3 diffrent sockets all 14mm and they wont fit in the thinnest hole where the plugs are,i can get the socket to the top of the plug and it wont go any further , its proper annoying i tell thee !!!!

you have taken the grey plastic bit off havent you? The one thats held on by 3 10mm bolts.

You dont have to witht he right socket but it makes mopping out any oil etc a damn sight easier.

well finally i got a socket to fit the plugs 10mm , the stupid boy at halfords gave me the wrong plugs (14mm) so now i have to go back and change them for the correct ones , when i tried taking one of the plugs out there was lots of oil covering it !! didnt look too good .

oki finally got all the plugs out and the black cover now whats the best way to clean all this oil up ..? and shud i clean all the oil right out of the 4 holes ?

Cheers for your help

aye get em dry. oil causes missfires. Every missfire is 35bhp less to the wheels.

Stuff kitchen roll down and let it soak it up.
