Changing Steering Wheel

  Renault Clio 1.9D mk2
Hi,

I'm portuguese rookie  and this is my first post in this forum.
I would like to know if it's possible to change my Clio B (mk2f1) '99 steering wheel for another from a Clio B of 2002 (mk2f2) or of 2004 (mk2f3). Will I have problems with the new steering wheel airbag?

Thanx for the answer. ;)

Why not just deactivate the airbags?

I don't think there a direct fit never looked though to be honest.

Providing the connections for the airbag system are the same, from memory i belive they are on the F1 and F2 you should have no problems. Pull the fuse on the airbag system before you start and replace when you are done.

In Portugal you can't deactivate driver's airbag if the car original has one ;)

Same problem here, but i finnaly decided to send it to put a new "leather cover" (don't know the expression in englih, sorry! ) because of the risk that exists handling the airbag.

Thanx a lot
