I just estimated a new Toyota Urban cruiser that wasn't even as bad as that. Parts were 8k alone. I wouldn't even know where to begin.

Bare in mind it's already been estimated by a garage and has been over the 65% threshold hence the cat D.

So I estimate the garage would have repair costs just shy of 20k.

Final bill would be over 20k once the little bits and bobs were included.

Thats fucked, wouldnt touch it with a barge pole for that price. Only way thats ever going to pay off is if you repair cars for a living and you can fix/get all the parts trade. Even then re-sale will be shite as cat D at such a young age will put people off.
