try collins performance centre for a powerchip. they did mine & im up 8bhp, it revs to almost 8000rpm & acceleration is far better esp midrange.

8k! I thought you needed balanced bottom end to get those sort of revs? I have Hillpower chip and think its good VFM.

Mines been close.. 7.5k on purpose.. a bit more by accident..

standard valver lump is good for 8k, as long as its not every gearchange ;) but pointless cos peak power will not be much after 7k anyway!

depends how good ur cylinder head/cam set-up is ;)

stan. iv currently got 285 (i think) kent cams, that state power between 2k-6.5k, but they aint been setup yet, and its getting chipped soon, can i get them to keep the power up to 8k without loosing any lower down?

wot lift do they give? is ur head standard?

basically, to lift max. power RPM (forgetting about mechanical side for a second) u need to increase mass airflow through the head.

so it really depends how well these cams do this. if they state 2-6.5k power-band then thats wot theyll give. to increase this ull need headwork and increase valve lift.

as to losing out on the bottom end this really depends on cam timing and the duration of the cams. 285 seems quite mild......
