hey im going to get my clio 1.6 chiped just after some opinions

1. is it worth it on a 1.6 16v
2. how is the petrol consumption?

would be very graitfull if anyone on here has had it done

Solly I GUARANTEE you will see no more than 3bhp. Its a waste of money on a 1.6. Get yourself a nice sounding exhaust instead.

Promise you that you wont. No point doing 'performance' mods to the 1.6 unless you go all out and have a completely new inlet set up.

my mate has a fiesta 1.6... with out his chip on he struggles to get like 100ish. slower low done as well... but when he has it on, it f**king flies... has 120 in 4th gear, its not bullshit.. I've been out with him in my car and i manage to keep up when its not on, but soon as its on, its unstoppable.... weather its any good on a Clio tho I don't know.

It's the key to the right of the steering wheel, when you turn it clockwise all the way you hear an electric whizz followed by a constant faint whining coming from the front of the car. I'm quite impressed that he can get the car to do 100mph without the engine running though...

I have a feeling that the only time his car reached 120 in 4th was when he left it in gear and pushed it over a cliff.

Love the term chipping a car it sounds so funny.

on a 1.6 i would not bother u will see better gains by spending the money on a set of good breaks or tyres. If you want extra power, take stuff out of your car its FREE!
