So after a long time looking and viewing various 182' I've finally bought one!. My hand was forced slightly by my old ST24 mot running out so I had to act quickly and make a choice.
It's funny how Titanium wasn't my first choice of colour, Racing Blue, Black Gold and Arctic were all preferred but once I'd viewed this it looked great and the paint really pops in the sun light.
As mentioned I had to act quickly as I had only a few days left before my mot expired on my old barge and with no chance of it passing I had to make a choice. A trip upto Bradford and a look round and I was on my way home with a 54 plate full fat 182, 78k on the clock, full history, recent cambelt change and 6 months tax.
The 150 mile trip home was faultless, drove really well and apart from the crappy aftermarket radio I was pretty happy.
So I used it for a few days, getting used to it, seeing what I could do and then the weekend arrived and I got to work giving it a good clean.
Headlight were misted as per, so I masked them up and polished them back, you can't really see the misting in the pictures but they look a hundred times better, I think next time I'll sand them and polish up again just to get them looking 100%.
So after a good few hours of washing, de tarimg, claying, polishing and waxing I was left with this...
I'm not 100% on the rear quarter stickers! I think I might loose them at the next wash! undecided. The paint is pretty impressive for silver, pops in the sun lovely and looks more grown up in my opinion to other colours.
I desperately need to purchase some interior mats, especially with this c**p weather we are having, new tyres all round I'm thinking uniroyal rainsport 3'. New brakes all round from G172 with braided lines. OZ f1s or Turinis.
I need to refit my front splitter as it was hanging on for dear life. I'll be taking it to Dorset in a few weeks so it'll be a nice long trip to see how it performs.
One problem I have found is the cruise/speed limiter buttons on the steering whell aren't working, the switch is fine, dash light come on but I can't select a speed or reset etc, so a look into that is needed.
Comments welcome
