Few photos from the classic motorshow, I know there's a lot, but 3 halls of automotive goodness was too good to miss.

Particular favorites included the TVR speed 12. I spoke to the owner of this, lovely chap, he also dropped into the conversation that he also owned the other one. Yup, he owns the only 2 road legal TVR speed 12's in the world!

Also the cream Maserati was a point of interest, it was a Quatroporte concept, only one in the world! For sale, a snip at £125,000

What day did you go down? I didn't even bother with TG Live. Love my historic cars, anything from the 60's until 2000 I love really. A few more recent ones get some points though

Absolutely, as I said, the guy there owned the only 2 in the world, he also owned 2 of the centre tubs of the other 7 unbuilt ones, he said he knows where the remaining 5 unbuilt ones are too. Felt like a bin dipper after talking to him! Rather wealthy I presume! Although saying that, he was such a nice bloke, couldn't tell me enough about it! Said he's driven it on the road a couple of times, but at 900kg and 840bhp (twice the bhp/ton ratio of a Veyron) he said it was rather a handful!

Interestingly he said he had driven many cars (road and race) yet said the only thing that has ever compared in terms of brutality, was the Aerosmith roller-coaster in Orlando, Florida!!

I agree with Christopher. Everytime I've been to the MPH show, this has always been better than the TG section.

A bit of a shame it was on the same weekend as the Rally GB this year but oh well

Can't say I've ever been to a rally, would love to go though! It was a good day, £20 well spent, good value for money too considering the amount of stands that were there!

Agreed!! Found the TG part to be a bit lacking in cars, but the 2 live shows were pretty good.

That masser is was the same price as my house, but bigger! Also spotted a lovely off white mk1 Escort, yours for a snip at £65k.

The blue was lovely, think it was an original Bugatti colour iirc, but the brushed metal was fugly! not a huge fan of Veyrons anyway in all honesty, but when you see one, you must take a photo I guess!

Actually that's a good point, I had a close look at them, and the SLS had a slight orange peel effect to the paint, the 300 Gullwing, the paint on that was glass smooth, anyone know why this is maybe???

Its down to loads of factors, prep, paints, clearcoats. As the 300 is older, processes would have been different giving a better, clearer, coverage.

Yeah I thought it would be due to the chemcials used in older paint would allow for better finish but screw the enviroment, but newer paint has to meet certain standards with greenpeace?!

Yep, more thinners and different mixes are probably used. I'm sure Gally probably knows.

Really couldn't tell you tbh, I thought he said he was around Preston way, but I really can't remember, unfortunately I didn't get his name was kinda in shock when he said "... yeah this one is mine, oh I own the other one as well...."

Doubt he does anything with engines because he said he has to get it sent off to be rebuilt, apparently the V12 needs servicing every 2500 miles, at £15,000 a pop, so it sounds like he doesn't do it himself?!?!
