Claying a wet, just washed car

  e92 + E46 M3 + Cup
heard a few ppl saying there doing this, i thought the car had to be dry as it would water down the lube? i wash/dry the car then, clay, wash, dry.. so if it doesn't need to be dried this would save me a bit of time ;)

I always clay the car wet after washing.

Wash and Rinse the car.

Take the wash mitt and some car wash and re wet the panel

Then using some car shampoo and water in a spray bottle ( 2-3 Capfulls to 5-600ml) Spray the panel and clay away.

Quick wipe over the panel again with the mitt if need be, rinse and dry.

If you clay your car over the next week or so then you really shouldn't need to do it again until March-ish. Throughout the Winter I'd imagine you want to build up a decent level of wax to protect the paint, so claying would negate all your hard work!

But, yeah, claying when wet is fine, all I ever use is car shampoo from a spray bottle.
