right, first ill apologise as this is probably a repost/thread...

to clean my car i currently use a normal car shampoo, nothin special at all, and then ive got some super t-cut polish that i use every so often and then some turtle wax to polish...

now its all running low, so i want to know what i should use to keep it looking as it should.
i dont want to be paying the earth as the stuff i use now is ok, but doesnt last too long in terms of cleanliness and shine so i really want something to last a good amount of time, and be fairly easy to do, time isnt too importantr in terms of im happy to spend a full day on cleaning my car as i quite enjoy it, so about 6 hours in total start to finish would be the time...

links and recomendations would be good please, appreciate all help

Chuck what you have, T- Cut is the devil!

Get some CG Extreme Wash n Wax, a lambswool washmitt, two buckets and a drying towel.

Some Autoglym Super Resin Polish and Chemical Guys Blitz sealant should do you nicely and is very easy to use.

Hope that helps.

thanks for the replies, been looking on polishedbliss and thought about...

JEFFS workstatt auto body wash
JEFFS workstatt Prime
JEFFS workstatt acrylic trigger spray
Meguiars Quick clay

all comes up to roughly £50, which is a fair wack i think but seems to be good quality stuff.

deej - why is t-cut the devil?!ive always thought it to be quite good, but in fairness never really used anything else.

Check out www.detailingworld.co.uk it has loads of good advice on the matter.

For just starting off i'd recommend you need the following

Shampoo: Sonus Gloss Shampoo or Poorboys Slicks & Suds or Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II

Clay: Megs Quick Clay or Sonus Green Clay

Polish: Autoglym Super Resin Polish

Sealent: Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection or Jeffs Acrylic Jett Trigger (This can be topped up across winter ive not used the Jeffs but i am looking to replace the Extra Gloss Protection with it soon)

Wax: Collinite 476S (Very durable wax that will last across winter, some people use Megs #16 but ive not used it myself)

Wheels: Poorboys Wheel Sealant

Tyres: Poorboys Bold N Bright

Other Bits:
Sheepskin Wash Mitt
Couple of drying towels such as Sonus Der Wunder or Sonus Ultimate or Poorboys
Two Buckets
Some Applicator Pads (Megs ones at easy to get hold off)
Some nice plush Microfibre Cloths
A Small Brush

Good sites to buy stuff from are:

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/
http://www.polishedbliss.com/
http://www.carwashnwax.co.uk/
http://www.seriousperformance.co.uk/News.html

Ive not used the bottom two but they all come highly recommended.

But like all things you can either spend about £50ish and get a good base to work with or you can go silly and spend shed loads.

The above will do quite nicely, not used the shampoo though. I have just got some Meguiars Shampoo Plus to try at 15 quid for 3 litres it is worth a look.

Other than that I would look into some Duragloss shampoo form Alex@ Serious Performance or some CG Guys Bodywash'n'wax.

A nice wax to top the sealant will be good for looks and protection if you get a durable one.

A decent lambswool wash mitt, and some microfiber buffing and drying towels are a must.
