clearing down my laptop

Hi guys...I need your help

My laptop is running really slow and poor so i want to reboot it all..ive backed up all my files on disc but not sure how to reset the laptop back to factory settings...I dont know if this will work but i wanna give it a try as im fed up with it being so slow,its that bad my itunes wont even play a song to speed...so please can someone help

cheers biojo got it all done...but i forgot to back up my itunes and lost the lot
