clearing internet history

how comesif i delete my history,cookies and offline files when i type something into my browser it still says some pages i have been 2???does windows remember or do i need to do something on ie to get rid of them??

you talkin about google?

when i clear my stuff only the things in google and ebay stay, you delete those another way, but ive forgot.

im sure someone will come along n tell ya

You are probably referring to autocomplete...its where if you type in something in say google, it will show a list of what you've searched for. If you want to remove those...nice and simple, just open the relevant webpage ie google and then push down arrow, and press delete key for each entry until they've all been removed.

If your using google toolbar click on 'options'

click on the 'search' tab

Then untick the 'drop down search history'

To stop internet explorer auto completing URL's select tools/internet options/content/autocomplete and untick the web addresses box

To clear everything go to tools, internet options, content, auto complete, clear forms.

I would always do is this too.

Start -> Settings -> Taskbar and Start Menu -> Start Menu -> Customise -> Clear.

This is all just for a normal user not being able to view that data.
