Climate Control - Blower Problem

I know this has come up several times and I a have ready a number of posts on this but the problems dont seem to be exactly the same as mine.

Currently if the weather is hot and I get in the car the blowers will not work you can have them on max and nothing comes out the vents, eventually (this could be 5 minutes to 25 minutes into the journey) they will start working and will remain working until the ignition is switched off not matter how long the rest of the journey is.

If the weather is cold they work straight away.

Also when the fans do work you can hear a slight clonking noise so I was wondering if something was stuck in the fan? if so how do you remove the fan is there some instructions? I took the skuttle plate off and can see the fan but could not figure out how it was removed.

any help would be great as it gets very hot sometimes when getting in the car at the moment.

Still bet its the fan speed pwm control pack.

Are there any guides to removing the control pack? how easy are they to repair I head about resisters? is there a cheep place to get one?

No real cheap options for getting one that'll be reliable for a while to come imo, all the scrapper ones are an unknown quantity really. Remove the righthand skuttle panel cover and you'll be looking it at it.

Its the thing on the righthand side with the 5 pin plug.

Had mine out last night due to mine not working. looking to replace it.

just trying to get a price from a mate for one of these. stealers wanted £125 plus vat, I think, when he said 125 I jumped out the seat and left anyway.

It's easy to remove 6mm socket for the 2 screws (just don't drop them) then pull it out.

ok that quite a bit is there no online parts place which does them?
The blowers worked first time this morning, sods law.
is it the plug right on the right nearest the wipers?

When you take the plug out (top right in the pic) should it have what looks like a heatsink attached?

And how the feck do you detach it from the matrix of wires as shown on the left lol
