climate control panel

I have an issue with the digital climate control panel on a 54 plate 182. everything work as it should ie..temp and fan level goes up and down as normal and i can switch between the different fans inside the car but when i press the off button it turns the display off but the fans keep going. common fault? any ideas? new display panel?

Resistor pack...hundreds of threads on it. I wrote a guide on here if you fancy trying to fix it for a fiver, but you'll need to join up.
