Climate control!!!

:S Can anybody help, this might be a real dumb question but I'm used to driving old honda's!
I have only had my 172 for a few days and I cant work out how to use the fan without it being in climate control or air con mode??? How do I just use the fan on its own to blow some air in???? Before you ask me to read my owners manual, I can't because it's in dutch!!!
HELP!!!

I have tried maxi and mini settings as well but it only blows warm air into the car!

I don't think you can work the fan on it's own if the climate control is switched off. I'll check later though.

your air conditioning servo is fucked

Put it on auto, then press the little A/C button (furthest left of the bottom four) then you can bugger about with speed and temerature to your hearts content.

I have the opposite problem with mine, it only seems to come on when it feels like it, not when the car's steaming up. :S

I think I tried this last night and it still only blew hot air out and not cold? I will give it another go though. Just before I bought the car some of the electrics were changed on the fan unit because the fan was knackered and I've got a feeling this is why I have a problem.

Press Auto to swtich it on.

Then press AC to turn the aircon on/off.

Press red to get higher temp. Blue to get lower temp.

Fans control speed.

The top button to the right sends all the air to the window for demisting and also switches aircon on at same time.

The bottom button on the right recirculates air in the car ie no outside air.

If you set a temp and press auto, the climate will get the car asap to that temp and maintain it.

The direction buttons work by pressing on and pressing again for off.

You can have face only, face and feet, feet only, feet and windscreen, windscreen only. ie you can't have face and windscreen.

It would appear that I have a problem with the air con though as when I do as you say the air still comes out warm when I turn the air con on. The other thing I noticed is that the minimum temperature I can set the climate control to is 16 degrees, is this correct? Below 16 degrees it says mini? Stupid dutch handbook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:S

Air con can be hot or cold. If you want cold aircon, switch on auto, drop the temp to min and press ac.

Yes, it goes mini, 16, 17..... 25, 26, maxi.
