I left the house this morning and it was already 20 degrees at 6.50am. I had in on straight away and will be using it to its full potential sat on the M6 when I leave in a minute. Days like today remind me why I buy cars with CC.

I had 18 on the way in this morning too, but on the way home with the sun beating down it tends to be 16.

Even when the weather is cold and wet I love it. Nothing like clearing a steamed up screen in just a few seconds. :D

Would you swap it for .4 of a second? I think not.......
is it still .4 a second with the windows down?

Has anyone noticed a performance drop with the cc on? Friend of mine used to have a 1.4 306 and with the aircon on it hardly moved!

what effect does this have on your MPG ? seeing as i will have it when i get the 182 its somethign i will be using and was wondering if it effects it much :)

hi , i noticed the performance drop, it was like that in my audi a2 fsi 1.6, when i had the air con on it pulled a way it bit slower than usual, quite sluggish, had fun in both my cars, enjoyed the air con, in my 182 and later in the day enjoyed the wind in my hair with my c3 plurial

According to clarkson the mpg on a civic goes down 6mpg with air-con on, so 3-4 mpg for the 172 would probably be about right.

If you have the window down (again according to clarkson) it increases fuel consumption 6% .. you do the maths ;)

Yeah that right.

1. Aircon on = -3-4mpg

2.Aircon off windows open= -1-2mpg

3.aircon off windows closed = no fuel loss but a fu*king suna :)

Net loss is only about 2 mpg :)

So I have mine on the time this weather.....feels great :)

Simon.
