im really confused, how long should it take my climate contro/air con to start blowing cold in a 2002 172? it just seems to blow out hot air for ages even when iv selected mini or 17*c, im worried that maybe its fuked it certainly at no point has felt as cold as th eair con on the passat i was driving the other week. Please put my mind at ease as im a touch worried now, mayube you just need to drive it for a while before it works 100%

Sorry to hijack but also, whenever you turn your climate on does it always make itself full blast? Hardly controlled lol..

nope mines always on auto and never come on full blast unless its like over 20 out there lol or -4

I would have thought if a 2 year old car needs a re gas there is a leak ? There should be a clunk from the engine bay when it engages, no clunk = probably no gas.

Mine only comes on full blast when you hit the de-mist button.

is there anyway i can tell if there is gas there? how much will renault charge to have a look do u rekon?? also it started coming cold not amazingly cold but more so than a car without ac then i put it to 17c from 16c and it just started blowing ridiculously hot air out, would this be a probelm covered under warrenty??

nope not a warranty item it only cost about 50 to be re gassed tho

Mine was gassed & dyed, repaired and re gassed all under warranty. The dye is to identify any leaks, afaik a 2 year old car shouldnt need gassing unless theres a leak ?

If the leak is in the radiator, say from a stone, then they wont cover it, mine was a weld on the the drier and was covered.

ok its gone intorenault and it is now coming cold howeveer the young lad insists its the temp sensor in the roof, he also mentioned there is a mixing box where the hot and cold air are mixed and said this may be coming jammed personnally with the symptoms id suspect this was more likely the case
