Hi all, unfortunately not the first post i'd like to be making after picking up a lowish mileage 172 for the first time 2 weeks ago.
Since owning it and driving a few times, the car has had an intermittent dash light pop up occasionally (the centre one, believe its the electronic warning light). This has seemed to disappear when restarting and drive with no real issues although one time I do believe it popped into limp mode which again cleared on a restart of ignition. I planned on ordering a diagnostic tool and on finding a local specialist to take it to next weekend as thought there may be some electrical gremlins to sort but have driven a couple times since with no real issues or cause for concern.
Anyways cut to this evening where this god awful knock/rattle starts, only revving up to 1.5k here, seems to increase in sound with the revs, any ideas what it may be and if linked with the dash light from the vid/audio alone?
Will try and explore more tomorrow, but praying its just an injector or something and not a worst case scenario? Apologies for any naivety as new to the platform and diagnostics in general tbh.
