Clio 172 "straight through" catalytic converter.

Hi Guys,

On my '01 172 replaced my catalytic converter for a sport cat (cut out the old one and weld on the new) than noticed someone put a straight pipe through the body basically deleted the cat on the old one.
How come it never had the engine light on? The ECU is stock no remap. Also the car never had the "5000rpm kick".
Any ideas?

My kangoo 172 is on stock ecu, decat and most of the time with no warning light whatsoever. Had it on twice in last 10k, fitted a 90deg lambda spacer and not seen it on since. It will have faults stored in the ecu when scanned with clip, but not enough to trigger the light.

Have you noticed any changes in performance?
