But given mine didn’t move for 2 years and by the time it did move it was completely fucked, I’d be wary of one that has barely been touched for 6 years.

No they don't need changing every 5 years.

However as they're framing the car as a collectors item, it needs to have the service history to match. So selling it with belts that Renault says need to be changed isn't selling a collectors item.
