Clio 197 - Reverse Gear issue

Hi,

I've recently fitted a ZPO extended shifter to our Clio 197. However following the test run afterwards the reverse gear can easily be selected without any usual - pulling up on the shifter and moving across.

This is a concern as I've come close to selecting reverse at junctions. I'm confident it's an easy fix as it worked beforehand.

Please can anyone shed some light on how to fix this please?

Did you put the plastic sleeve back on underneath the gaiter afterwards?

There's a tab on that that locks out the freedom to select reverse but once lifted it goes above

Does sound like a fitment issue.
