Clio 2 swap

Hello all, i have a Renault Clio 2 ph 1. I would like to swap the engine for better and bigger performance. What engine do you suggest me ? Prerefebly one where i do not need to modify engine supports? Does a Laguna 1.8 16v fit perfectly or i need to modify its engine bushing ?

Pretty much anything Renault of that era will fit without modifying. but TBH the F4R is really the only one worth going to the hassle of, more so if your in an area where buying a genuine RS isn't a viable option

Can a Megane RS 2 fit the engine bay ? and the drive shaft i presume it need to be changed though as the shaft for the megane RS is longer than the Clio
