tell me something, you all checked the wires?
I just checked mines. The one in the boot has three wires where as mines in the glove box has only two wires. The light isnt lighting at all.
Can someone help?
Yeah edde, there are three wires. Two wires going into one slot, one going into another (for the connector in the boot).
The connector in the glove box has one wire each going into the two slots.
One will be constant live and the other wire a switch live (activated when a switch is triggered the switch is one of your doors) the other wire on its own is negative. My boot bulb is activated by my driver door.
You would have to wire in a depression switch into the glove box surround so when the glove box door closes it pushes the switch in and breaks the circuit. If the glove box bulb only has 2 wires you would cut the live and connect the circuit with the depression switch in between the live. The live normally goes to the center of the bulb holder and the negative (ground) goes the the outside of the holder (touches the edge of the bulb when the bulb is in the holder) live touches the base (center of the bulb).
Push to break switch, when you close your glove box the door will push against the switch breaking the circuit so the bulb goes out. When the door is open the circuit reconnects.
