I was wondering if anyone has an idea whats up with my clio (1.2 16v 52 plate).
I was driving to a friends house with a nice warm engine, half a tank of fuel, when a yellow/orange coil shaped warning light lit up on the dashboard, shortly followed by a serious loss of power and the car refusing to rev past 2.5k. I pulled over, turned the engine off and on again (Microsoft diagnostics) and it still wouldnt rev properly. Luckily i was only a few metres from my friends house, so i crawled there on tickover.
I left it for a while then came back to it, and it started fine, drove perfect for a mile or two, but then mr warning light came back on, loss of power, and i pulled over again. I restarted the engine, revved it, (the engine coughed!) and it was fine. Drove home with no problems.
Sorry about the extra long thread, but im a bit uneasy about taking the car out again! Its going to Renault tomorrow for its MOT, and id be much appreciative if someone could give me an incline as to whats up with it so renault dont have a field day with me.
