The whole idea is that back when these came out my dad used to have these cars. Now he cant drive stick anymore. My dad has and still is very important to me. So i just want to find a solution.

The f7r used a jc5 gearbox didn't it? In that case an auto from a MK2 Clio should physically fit but the box wasn't great I don't think, it was used in 1.6 16v Clio initiale.

Your best bet is probably one of the older auto boxes if they fit

Thanks martin. I also found out a laguna from 2002 2.0 16v is a 182 engine with lower compression. It uses a auto. So im just gonna try stuff. Thanks

I'd try and find out the size of the Laguna box but yeah that's probably your best bet.

It's the ecu side of things that I think could be the stopper.
