clio immobiliser



  clio mk2 1.6 16v
swapped over my outer casing for my clio and i think i have some how lost my Transponder the little plastic chip.
i have a new chip and was just wondering if i could get it programmed to my car to save buying anything else???
my mate has all the diognostic equiptment to do this if its possible, if any one can help cheers :)

If youve lost the chip it must be an early clio as the later ones had the chip attached to the remote circuit board. If you havent got the chip i believe you will need the chips hard code extracting from the ecu as you have no code to go from. Id seriously have a double check around where you split the key... Itd be lot less hassle if you find it but if all else fails i dont believe a diagnostic with a new chip will simply code in dude. Philips 33 chips are hard code...philips 46 chips attached to the board are diagnostic programmable.
