Clio loosing power when idle?

  Clio
Hi, was wondering if anyone could help me out!

My clio (54 plate, 1.2) seems to be loosing power when idle -- it sounds like its going to cut out, realllly stuggling to run! It has cut out once or twice after leaving it run a while cause it can't manage to stay on (the lights also flicker when this happens..)

When I am driving it feels a bit juddery and doesn't feel like it is driving right? it is then worse when I stop and the rev bar goes up a little on its own when my foot isn't anywhere near the throtle..

Hope someone can help! Thanks!

Some one else had this problem recently but I can't find the thread. But I would check the battery terminals are tight and the cable to the bodywork is tight, alternator terminals fitted tight. Problems like this are usually to do with loose wires especially cables to the chassis -ve. leads.

idle control valve sticking? thats the one you can take off clean and oil or something like that iirc, i think someone made a guide on it
