Clio LSD - Diff

  Renault Clio Super 1600
I was going to be using a sequencial gearbox to start with in my new rallycross Clio, but instead just to get the thing working we are going to adapt a standard 1.6 box.

Does anyone have any expereince of LSD's for a Clio?

There seems to be very few around, and people dont seem to have much experience of them.

I'm not looking for an ATB, just and LSD.

Any help much appriciated!

Thanks
Hal

If you dont want a ATB then it leaves you with two main contenders

Avanti and gripper

Avanti do 3 diffs - Lsd late diff with OEM cir-clip, Lsd plate diff with bolt on crown wheel (interchangeable final drives) and the MAXI diff which comes with custom shafts.

Gripper just do the one diff which is still a traditional plate diff but i cant confirm if the crown wheel is bolt or cir-cip. you have to modify one driveshaft to fit the gripper diff too.

If you can afford the extra cost then go for the Avanti, iirc mine was around £1500 when new.

Well it did..........I just cooked it.....should of put that cooler on.

For a rallycross car you WILL want to run a clutch plate diff with high preload and just live with it.....anything else and you'll be at the back of the pack.
