1.2 16v clio
Right, I have a 1.2 16v clio dynamique and it has been running fine until a couple of days ago when there was heavy rain. Now when the engine is warm, there is a popping sound and the car is really shakey and also when this is happening the gear knob vibrates harshly! During acceleration, there is a light that flashes on the dash occasionally, the manual days that this is something to do with the exhaust gases?
Could this be a problem with the ht leads and spark plugs? Also on one of the ht leads there is a light brown coloured gunk on the end (the end that attaches to the spark plug), looks like it could be oil and water?
any help will be much appreciated, having nothing but trouble with this car
