Clio II
The engine is a D4F-722. The engine starts without any problems, starting high and then drops as it getting warm.
But if I at any time give it some throttle (1500rpm or above) then it will start idling at ~1500rpm instead. This is also when driving, if I let go of the throttle it wont go below ~1500rpm.
if I force it down below 1500 (putting excessive load on it without throttle) then it starts idling as normal (~750rpm warm engine).
I first thought it might be an air leak, so I sprayed some break cleaner around the throttle body and got a reaction when spraying on the underside of the throttle body, idle going down. So I replaced the intake manifold gaskets, and while I couldn't easily find a new gasket for the throttle body, I used some fluid gasket goo to help seal it. Nothing. Maybe it was me being to liberal with the spraying it reacted to, I dunno.
Anyone have any ideas? Bad throttle body? Electrical? ECU?
