Quick searching says UCH unit but ive seen suggestions this was fitted to ph2 onwards so is this still my problem? If not any suggestions? I have a constant clicking sound when I open the door before I even put the key in. Windows, rear wiper and central locking are dead.

Okay i've seen a company on eBay offering a repair for £150. Anyone used them? Tachosoft UK
Also, would the UCH cause the fuel gauge to read really wacky? Like, it's pointing somewhere over the left, the opposite way to where the gauge is! Lol.
Qwerky little cars these appear to be. Only paid £200 with T&T so i'm happy enough to spend the £150 getting the UCH done as it's still a cheap car. Needs a bumper bar and slam panel too, but surprisingly it looks okay outside the front. Guessing PH2 lights are an easy-ish mod? Maybe some cable chopping? Always liked the PH2 lights.

I haven't had mine repaired in the past but when I looked at repair BBA Reman and Tachosoft were the ones I was considering. Spoke to BBA and they seemed a well informed bunch and good on the customer service front.
A cheaper option would be to just get a second hand set for your engine size and age of clio. Can be had on ebay for about £50.
To sort the fuel guage, hold down the button on the end of the wiper stalk and turn the ignition on. Dials will sort them selves out. Turn off and back on.
Unsure on ph2 lights on a ph1. Sounds like you've got a cheapy car though.

Ended up doing exactly that, got a ECU, UCH + Fob for £28 delivered. Gonna pay for them Friday so hopefully that'll knock my electrical gremlins on the head!

Bought some Mk2 Ph2 rears brand new in the box for a tenner. Going for the simple cleaned look on this though, with some BBS reps (i'm cheap, I don't deny it), and feel like the PH1 rears look cleaner, so tempting some red tint vinyl over them to make them a bit more red, as I find them to be a bit more pink than I like.
