Hiya, thank you for your reply..I'm guessing you've given the car to Renault to sort out a paint defect?
My guess is they've cocked it up a few times.
ring them and push for updates
Many thanks for your reply..The only issue the OP will have is that Renault don't have any of there own bodyshops as they use approved businesses all the time so you might just be best off finding out where it has gone and giving them a call direct and skip the middle man.
Inspect the paint before you drive away, i had a look over a raider that had the section below the bonnet resprayed and it was bad.
good luck...
Many thanks for your reply..
I'm hoping wherever it is, it's not the same peeps that messed it up before.
I'm dealing with two renault garages at the moment and neither have much info or are reluctant to let me know when it's back. Thanks again. Sy
Just out of interest what branch did you take it to? And what bodyshop did it go to last time. I have had plenty of issues with Renault approved body shops in the past and from experience Renault UK always pay the bear minimum for paint jobs.
I pray and hope it hasn't gone to a place E.E Holoways...

Hello mate. Sorry for late reply, it was keyed at renault before I picked it up after buying it.. They sprayed it,and it was pants but only really noticeably bad at night under streetlights.. You could see the direction of the spray gun..After one year they agreed to take it back, it's been sprayed again and it's now worse than before. It's booked in again for the last time as I've had enough. It is renaults spray shop but they are simply not capeable of doing this Matt finish. What was the problem with your bonnet? Just interested As a raider owner myself.

They even said we can buff the bad bits out!!! And they washed it, which I had told them not too. They haven't got a clue. It needs to go to a specialist. My car is now 2kg's heavier through paint on my bonnet!!!
Muppets.
Hello matey, it is at renault Orpington bodyshop, I picked it up from there. I've told them that this is their last chance on the 9 th March when it goes back in,that they have to sort it. They have admitted its not right..This story sounds all too familiar...
Unfortunately the car will never go to a specialist as RUK pay there approved body shops the bare minimum for the work to be carried out. If you keep pushing you might but its a very slim might, get them to send the car to a bodyshop of your choice. Try and get hold of a paint depth tester because the thinker the paint gets the more likely it is to chip when hit by a stone. Standard Renault paint is normally around 130 microns but I'm not sure about the raider paint. Best bet would be to test the boot lid or another panel that has not been resprayed.
Good luck!
Pps. I guarantee the car will go exactly where I want it to go, otherwise the s**t is gonna hit the fan..Hello matey, it is at renault Orpington bodyshop, I picked it up from there. I have a pal with years of bodyshop experience and Matt paint experience that can do what they can't..
renault will simply have to pay the bill.
That job should also have been turned round in max, a week, not 15 days with a poor result. Thank you for your reply.. Ps. I'm not too good a posting or replying where I should hence late reply. Sorry.sy
Hiya. Apologies for late reply, my pals a sprayer and he's said exactly the same, so I know it's not an easy job. On the 9th they're taking it back for the third time to attempt to get it right.. They obviously have no experience with this paint and they should give it to peeps who have.. It's also not a 15 day job.The fact that its the bonnet isnt as bad as a wing as the front black bit will take away some of the starkness if its a different colour ....
KND is the paint code IIRC & its a bi*ch to match
