Clio tints

Im doing my clio up just to look smart and was thinking of tinting the windows. I dont want the tint where you cant see nothing but the one where you can sort of see whats inside if that makes sense.

Also looking to buy 172 5 spoke alloys.

Im no boy racer but do you think it will look it once done ?

Tinted my 182 an to be honest i couldn't be without them now, i probably went darker than i should have but hey i like it.

Yea im going to tint mine but not to dark.

Just makes the car look smart unless you are a boy racer.

Im just adding clio alloys and tint my windows going to look smart.

you can only have the rear 3 done now, fronts are illegal

i had the clio done, its 5% darker on the front than it should be but it looks good so it'll stay till im told to take them off!!!!

edit: having the front done isnt illegal mate, theres just a limit to the darkness!!!!

depends how dark you go and the colour of your car, dont want it lookin like a van!!

Thats true and i have a grey clio but not sure if just having the 3 will look good or boy racer ?

i had tints on ma last clio, were slightly illeagal, 4.3% light....wen leagl is 70%, needless to say i got pulled and told to take them of....and was a piss take to drive at night, dotn no why i bothered in the end,, i am gonna lightly smoke tint my 182 tho....

Yeah i hear the fronts are illegal but they r stayin til i am told otherwise, cost me £140 all round from a place in tipton.

tyres are in exellent condition and there are two small marks on two of the wheels, whole lot is less than 10months old

Yeah thats the place, i heard they were a bit dodgy but i am happy so far. (i better stop sayin how happy i am, u watch i will get pulled after)

i paid £130 for all 5, dropped it off, 2 hours later i had the call saying it was ready to pick up!!!!

biglad, the peeps who done them said you can only tint them 30% an mine are done 35% but because its a black car they look way darker!!

sorry mate, most places have fronts listed as illegal now, but i suppose they could just be covering their ar$es tho

the whole legality of the tint thing is a gray area where the police are concerned at the moment mate, theres that many different places saying different things that no one really knows the proper law, i suppose saying its totally illegal is the best thing tho to save any hassle for them!!!!

what we were told tho is the front can only be tinted 30% i.e lets in 70% of the light, and anything behind the front seats can be as dark as you wish.

haha, they werent having any of it when i got pulled 10 mins i had them fitted and they made me rip them out at the side of the road!!!! i wasnt going to argue tho, they seemed angry lol

lol at least they were easy to get off, my mate got done few weeks ago, had to take them off there and then with his bare hands, 11 o clock at night with numb hands, lol

took the rears out last week and the glue thats on is a nightmare! its still not all off!! and its picking up fluff so my windows are gradually getting greyer in patches by the day!! wd40 seems to shift it s-l-o-w-l-y
