the backlight has gone in my 1.2 dynamique, i want to change it and am thinking of replacing it with a blue light, does anyone know how and where i can get the bits from?
cheers
Any advice on how to replace the back-light to the center LCD display? My radio and clock are dim-as and at night I can't read them at all...
Any advice on how to pull the center stack apart and replace this light greatly appreciated.
Take the top of the dash off and cowling around the steering column (3 torx screws) then you can remove the dials and the clock/radio from there its a matter of disassembling them and modifying. The clock/radio is just an orange filter of light if memory serves?
Yeah, I'm not quite that new to things, thanks though!!
I assume I need to find a screw under the rubber insert at the top of the centre stack, but do I need to unscrew the radio also? It looks like the centre stack is one single moulding all the way down. Are there any screws on the sides? (I can't see any... just wondering if they are hidden).
Thanks. Guide was great. In the end a relatively easy job. Though it seems my dash has been off before - judging by the tool marks on the screw heads. Though I'm not sure why. Oh well - I guess that is what comes not being the first owner of the car (or second!). But replacing the blown bulbs was easy enough. Now onto the next thing to fix...
