Clock light in my car has bust

Is this easy to fix? The light on my clock (not digital) has stopped working ever since i gave my car and good clean the other day. Only wiped the clock with a cloth! Is this easy to fix or will the dash need ripping out? Not gona bother if its a big job just that its annoying not being able to see the time when its dark

See if the plastic cover to the clock will come, off, or if you just wiped it, tuern the car lights on at night and try wiping back the otherway, might turn back on

Yeah pretty easy job. Basically take ur radio out, take the radio surround out, undo the 4 screws (i think) and the panel lifts out.

Its very hard to brake anything so go have a go. When mine went i change it in 10 mins in Halfords car park with a torx screw driver.

HTH

Yeah taking the panel out around the radio is piss easy, had to do it to take the OE radio out, some t**ser forgot to include the removal tools when they sold my gran the car!

no worries, the only tricky bit is the heater panel. Its quite hard to get out, the easiest way is to push it back, twist it at an angle and pull it out that way.

Took my clock out at the weekend. Eased it out with a screwdriver and a knife. It just slots in (if yours is anything like mine). No need to dismantle any of your dash.

id forgotton about that website them pics are ages old. done 8k since then and that takes a long time for me! cant even remember which server that sites on or id change it lol

Mine is completely different to urs to, ina valver/willimas there are oil dials where ur clock is and usually the clock is to the left of the heater dials

Never even realised the clock had a light, just thought of it as another peice of french master craftmanship. Like the bouncing speed dial and the sunvisor that always comes off.
