If you've never taken a gearbox off then I wouldn't bother it would take you a day if every thing go's well I've done it loads of times on rs turbo's and paid some one else to do my clio, you need to get the car up high and that's not easy with limited tool, there's a gearbox place near me that takes a box off and on for £150 and they do it in less then a couple of hours it might just be me getting old but I can't be ass with scrabbling around on my back in the cold for hours but if you want to learn then its a good place to start

I'd never done anything like a gearbox removal/clutch change on my previous Clio, but decided to have a go.
Took me a long long time, but I did it. I didn't need the car asap so I just took my time. Someone sent me a written guide but I can't remember who.
You need a decent socket/spanner/ set + breaker bar otherwise it'd be a nightmare

Edit: Got the guide of this guy http://www.cliosport.net/forum/member.php?44614-James-f
But that was two years ago so don't know if he still has it!
