clutch help on the 172

Hello people, how much roughly does it cost to have the clutch changed on my mk1 172, renualt want about 600 pounds plus the clutch here. that seems very excessive. is it a big job? my 172 has done 45,000 miles has any one elses clutch gone this quick. help please.

Its not that insane..well it is..but think of their hourly rate, never cheap! Its not easy to get the clutch out.
