im unsure if my clutch is actually on its way out or not? iv tried to pull off in 4th gear slowly raisin the pedal and it stalled? yet my ppedal is relativly higher than before? is there any other way to tell if it is on its way.. also hopw long do they last before they actually go??

driving down a lane, changed to 4th gear, car started over revving took all feet off pedals and still revving, braked to a stop., so stationary and revving at the 2 on the counter, had to turn car off for it to stop which it then wouldnt start for 2 ish mins?? iv no clue as to what it could be?? no carpet is stuck on the pedal either
