Clutch pedal movement

  Clio 182 / Focus ST
I did a search and couldn't find anything about this. I'm hoping some of you fine people can help me with a strange one.
When the clutch is pressed down and you turn the steering wheel you can literally feel the clutch pedal pulling to the side in the opposite direction.
The only thing I can imagine it being is maybe the gearbox mounts are shot?
Has anyone come across the before? Can anyone shed any light? Thanks!

Is the movement towards the back of the pedal? That's to do with the steering column

I'd definitely say more towards the back yes. You feel it more on the 'bar' that the foot pedal is on rather than the 'pedal' if that makes sense?

Yeah that's the steering column. I'm almost 100% sure it is. All the clios I've had have that as do minis. It's a weird feeling. Best to keep your toe on the pedal as opposed to the middle of your foot
