Clutch whistles when damp and cold

  Lots of Alfas
After posting a while ago about my car whistling like a birdy, and from the advice given on here (alternator, aux belt etc) it turns out its the clutch making the noise.

When its cold and damp I can hear a loud whistling, if you push the clutch fork on the front of the engine it stops but if you let go it does it again until the engine has got very warm.

It does it whether in gear or not but you can hear it more when the engine is idling.

What could be making the noise, is my clutch going, any advice?
